PLZEŇ – Czech police officers fished out a human head in the Radbuza River in the center of Pilsen on Friday afternoon. It was discovered in the section under the lake between Denisov and Angliský nábreží by the alluvium. The police are investigating the case. The information was published by the Krimi-Plzeň server. Regional police spokeswoman Eva Červenková said that human remains were found.
“Since yesterday (Friday) afternoon, we have been dealing with the discovery of human remains, which were discovered near the Denis embankment in the Radbuza river. We are investigating all the circumstances of this event, and the Pilsen criminalists are dealing with the whole case,” said Červenková.
According to the server, the head was in a significant stage of decomposition and had apparently been in the water for a long time. It could allegedly belong to a twenty-three-year-old man who moved among Pilsen’s homeless and whose headless and mutilated body was found in the Berounce River last January 12, Krimi-Plzen reported. The police have so far rejected these speculations, saying that it is necessary to develop professional expertise.

A homeless man was accused of murder, the victim is supposed to be a Slovak
At the beginning of March of this year, Pilsen criminal investigators charged a 42-year-old man with the murder of a homeless man. The court sent him to custody. The murder of a twenty-three-year-old foreigner was investigated by a specially appointed team of criminal investigators from January 12, 2023. At that time, a passer-by saw a headless male body in Berounka, on the outskirts of Pilsen, near the church of St. George in the Doubravka district. According to unofficial information, which has not been confirmed by the police, the corpse also had its genitals cut off and other cuts on the body.
Initially, the police did not know the victim’s identity, but later, based on DNA tests, they confirmed that the murdered man was a Slovak who lived in a homeless community in Pilsen. Investigators were also looking for possible witnesses in it.
