RTVE (Radiotelevisión Española) has invited the 27-year-old artist to perform following his guest appearance at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Madrid and his special performance on christmas Eve.

Mateo joins a lineup of previous Benidorm Fest winners who will also be performing. Chanel Terrero (2022), Blanca Paloma (2023), and Nebulossa (2024) have all confirmed their participation in the grand final on Saturday, February 14th.
Benidorm fest 2026 Schedule and Format
The fifth edition of Benidorm Fest will consist of three shows: February 10th, 12th, and 14th, broadcast live across all RTVE channels. A total of 18 acts will compete this year.
