After giving the go-ahead to the orders for the new Junior in the “Special” launch series, Alfa Romeo has also opened orders for the entry-level trim levels of the new B-SUV. The available engines do not change. We always have the Hybrid model with the powertrain consisting of a 1.2-liter 3-cylinder turbo petrol engine capable of delivering 100 kW / 136 HP combined with a 21 kW / 29 HP electric motor integrated into the 6-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Furthermore, the price list includes 100% electric version with a 115 kW / 156 HP engine powered by a battery with a capacity of 54 kWh, for a range of just over 400 km.

The other engines announced at the launch of the B-SUV will be available later.

EQUIPMENT

The new entry-level Junior version does not have a specific name. The basic version is simply called Junior (hybrid or electric). There standard equipment includes, among other things, Full LED front and rear headlights, LED low beam headlights, glossy black exterior mirror caps and 17-inch Turbina (Hybrid version) and 18-inch Aero (Electric version) alloy wheels .

Inside the passenger compartment we find fabric upholstery, the driver’s seat with 6-way manual adjustment (4-way for the passenger), the eco-leather steering wheel, the 60/40 folding rear seat, the rear headrests, the gear shift paddles behind the wheel (hybrid only) and the dark imperial.


Furthermore, Alfa Romeo offers a 10.25-inch digital instrument screen as standard, the 10.25-inch infotainment system with two USB ports (A+C), Bluetooth and voice commands, automatic climate control, Autonomous Emergency Breaking (AEB) with ABS + ESC, Apple CarPlay / Android Auto and Adaptive Cruise Control. Junior Electric equipped with 7 kW on-board charger.

Among the optional extras the Techno and Premium packages. The first ensures a greater provision of ADAS systems, in addition to the hands-free electric tailgate, the Matrix LED headlights, the connected navigator and the virtual assistant. The second, however, offers a mixed vinyl-fabric interior, electrically adjustable driver’s seat with massage function, interior ambient lighting and aluminum pedals and door sill plates.

PRICES

The entry-level trim levels of the B-SUV range begin from 29,900 euros (hybrid) and 39,500 euros (electric). Obviously the “Special” version still remains in the price list and can be had for 31,900 euros and 41,500 euros.
