The places on Piezișa Street, the symbolic place of Cluj, known for the parties organized until the morning, attract conflicts like a magnet. This time, the Cluj police ordered the detention of three young people between the ages of 16 and 20, from Cluj county, for assaulting a man. The incident occurred shortly after a man allegedly tried to enter a restaurant on Piezișa Street in Cluj-Napoca, carrying a knife.

“On February 22 of this year, the policemen of the 6th Cluj-Napoca Police Department ordered the detention of three young people between the ages of 16 and 20, from Cluj county, investigated for disturbing public order and peace and hitting or other violence.

In fact, on February 4 this year, around 05:00, on Piezișa Street, the three allegedly physically assaulted a 35-year-old man.

Following the activities carried out, the police identified the group in question, consisting of two young people, a 16-year-old minor and a 38-year-old woman, from Florești.

Three of them were detained for 24 hours.

The 38-year-old woman is suspected of inciting the commission of the acts, thus being investigated for the crime of public incitement”, IPJ Cluj reports.

The police also recall another incident that happened on January 28.

“We remind you that on February 8 this year, the policemen from the Cluj-Napoca Municipal Police – Police Section 6 ordered the detention of another man, 32 years old, investigated in a criminal case under the aspect of committing crimes of destruction and disorder and public peace.

During the night of January 28/29 this year, the man allegedly tried to enter a restaurant on Piezișa Street in Cluj-Napoca, carrying a blunt object, showing aggressive behavior, which is why he was prevented by the police guard to enter the premises.

On the basis of the evidence administered, the person in question was detained for 24 hours, and later he was presented to the court, which ordered preventive arrest for 30 days”, state the IPJ Cluj.

After countless incidents, the police are asking Cluj residents not to consume excessive alcohol when they visit the shops on Piezișa Street: “Piezișa Street in Cluj-Napoca is heavily trafficked by young people, both during the week and during the weekends. We recommend everyone who frequents the location to avoid excessive alcohol consumption and involvement in conflict situations! The Cluj police will apply legal measures following the occurrence of situations of this kind. We reiterate the importance of respecting the rules of social conduct!”.
