Pop icon Madonna has shared a viral artificial intelligence montage featuring the Argentina national team on her Instagram stories, following the team’s victory over England and their subsequent qualification for the 2026 World Cup final.
AI Montage Integrates Argentina Squad into Music Video
The video, originally created by social media user @nosoytutanka, uses AI to digitally insert members of the Argentine squad into the music video for “Danceteria,” a track from Madonna’s recently released album Confessions II. The montage places players and officials within the same choreography and settings as the original production.

Key figures appearing in the AI-generated video include:
- Lionel Messi: Seen entering the set while knocking on a door.
- Lionel Scaloni: The team coach is integrated into a scene originally featuring actor Benedict Cumberbatch.
- Officials: AFA president Claudio “Chiqui” Tapia and FIFA president Gianni Infantino appear in a bathroom scene originally played by actors Gwendoline Christie and Richard Grant.
- Players: Emiliano “Dibu” Martínez, Lisandro Martínez, Cristian “Cuti” Romero, and Nicolás Tagliafico are all featured in the choreography.
Certain segments of the video have garnered significant social media attention, specifically a brief moment showing Julián Álvarez and Enzo Fernández kissing for a fraction of a second. Other cameos include Giovani Lo Celso holding a drink and Lautaro Martínez portrayed as a ballet dancer.

Comparison to the Original “Danceteria” Production
The original videoclip, released in early June to promote Confessions II, depicts the 67-year-old singer attempting to escape from pursuing cameras and lights. The original footage features several high-profile personalities, including model Kate Moss—who appears in the bathroom scene where Messi is placed in the AI version—and actress Julia Garner, who was selected for the lead role in a biographical film about Madonna.

The original video also includes singer Sabrina Carpenter, with whom Madonna collaborated on the album track Bring You Love,
as well as actress Odessa A’zion, known for her role in Marty Supreme.
Commercial Impact of Confessions II
The music used in the viral clip comes from Confessions II, Madonna’s first album release in seven years following 2019’s Madame X. The album’s title is a nod to her 2005 record Confessions on a Dance Floor.

According to Billboard 200 data, the album achieved the following milestones:
- Became Madonna’s tenth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200.
- Marked her first number one of the 2020s.
- Made her the first artist to lead the chart across four different decades.
- Positioned her as the fourth artist to achieve at least 10 number ones on both the Billboard 200 and the Billboard Hot 100.
The release also recorded the largest streaming week in the artist’s history and her best album sales week in more than a decade, representing the biggest week for a dance music album so far this year.
World Cup Final Musical Performances
The viral moment coincides with the lead-up to the 2026 World Cup final between Argentina and Spain. Organizers have announced that the event at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey will feature an 11-minute halftime show.

The musical lineup for the closing show will include Madonna, Shakira, BTS, Justin Bieber, Burna Boy, and Coldplay. The performance will also feature the PS22 school choir and collaboration from Venezuelan director Gustavo Dudamel. Additionally, the final will include artistic appearances by The Muppets and Sesame Street puppets.
