Atmospheric discharges kill five people in Cubal –

The spokesperson for the Civil Protection and Fire Service in Benguela, Jorge David, said this Wednesday, 7th, that the corporation recorded the deaths of five people, as a result of atmospheric discharges, during the weekend.

The first case, he explained, occurred in the commune of Yambala, municipality of Cubal, where four citizens died due to atmospheric discharges.

“The victims were under a tree and one of them was using the phone. Unfortunately, they all died immediately,” he said.

The other death occurred in the municipality of Bocoio, where four citizens were struck by lightning, three were injured and one ended up dying.

On the other hand, the National Institute of Medical Emergencies (INEMA) in Benguela helped a 59-year-old citizen on Tuesday for having used a sexual stimulant without indication. According to the institution’s coordinator, Hernani Francisco, the alert was given by employees of a guesthouse.
