New Overnight Train Connects Poland, Austria, and Beyond
A new overnight rail service is launching this December, offering a convenient and cozy connection between Poland, Austria, and several other European destinations. This expansion of overnight train travel provides travelers with more options for exploring Central Europe.
Introducing the EN Carpatia
The EuroNight (EN) Carpatia will begin service on December 14th, originating in Przemyśl, southeastern Poland. It will travel through key Polish cities including Rzeszów, Kraków, and Katowice.
From Poland, the train extends into the Czech Republic and Austria, passing through Vienna, Linz, and Salzburg before arriving in Munich, Germany the following morning. This route provides a seamless overnight journey, saving you valuable travel time.
Expanding Your Reach: connections to Bratislava & Budapest
Notably, at Bohumín in the Czech Republic, carriages will split off. These will head directly to Bratislava and Budapest, offering a unique possibility to reach the capitals of three European countries – poland, Slovakia, and Hungary – plus bavaria, all on a single overnight service without needing to change trains. Vienna also benefits, gaining another valuable long-distance night train connection in both directions.

* Westbound: Departs Przemyśl at 5:51 pm, arrives in Munich at 10:24 am the next day.
* Eastbound: Departs Munich at 6:45 pm,arrives in Przemyśl at 10:10 am.
