The incident occurred at the Liceo Nacional José Ramón Andrade Méndez, located in the Chuponal municipality of Pedraza. Students and staff began experiencing symptoms including headache, nausea, fainting, and difficulty breathing, leading to their transport to the Francisco lazo Martí hospital for medical attention.
Authorities Respond
Jessica Lalama, the mayor of the jurisdiction, stated in a press release that the situation at the school is under control.She confirmed that all state institutions have been mobilized to address the incident and provide assistance. “The Bolivarian Goverment informs the community that the situation at the josé Ramón andrade Méndez National High School is under absolute control. (…) we have deployed all state institutions to address this situation,” she stated.
