Bavo and Kayleigh, the Limburg handymen from the VTM program ‘House Made’, have a new home in mind. On Instagram, Kayleigh shares a photo of the house, which provokes many curious reactions. “My heart breaks,” writes the woman from Lommel.
At the last minute, Bavo and Kayleigh lost the final of the VTM program House Made. The Lommel couple had to give up the key to their “hofje” with pain in their hearts. Despite organized crowdfunding, the house in Sint-Lambrechts-Herk remained too expensive, and the couple decided to close the House Made chapter completely.

But the two continue to determinedly search for a new home for their growing family. Last month, the couple announced that they are expecting a son. A mysterious photo of a white house appeared on Kayleigh’s Instagram story. After many reactions from curious followers, she posts the photo a second time on her story with a word of explanation: “This house is located in Bavo’s parental neighborhood. The gem has come our way and we are currently looking at the financial matters.” But as expected, she writes, it is anything but easy.

In a subsequent story she also shares a message from one of her followers: “Scandalous. We are a family of three with a joint income of around 6,000 euros per month. But unfortunately no savings account of 100,000 euros. So buying a house is not an option.”
“These messages break my heart,” Kayleigh writes. “Buying a house is and remains a difficult and often disappointing quest.”
