The Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) announced on Thursday that 15 political formations and seven independents submitted their candidacies for the European Parliament elections until April 10, when the period for registering candidacies ended.

The Central Electoral Office mentioned that it will decide on the admission or rejection of submitted candidacies, after going through all the stages.

“According to Government Decision No. 199/2024 regarding the approval of the calendar of actions within the electoral period for the elections for the members of the European Parliament from Romania in 2024 and for the elections for local public administration authorities in 2024, the deadline for the final retention of candidacies it is the date of April 29, 2024”, according to a press release from the BEC.

According to the cited document, this is the list of candidacies submitted and registered at the BEC for the elections for Romanian members of the European Parliament on June 9, 2024:
