Brad Pitt regains full control of the Chateau Miraval vineyard in France. At least that is what the Daily Mail reports on the authority of sources around the actor. Pitt and his ex-wife Angelina Jolie have been fighting in recent years over shares in the vineyard that he gave to her when they were still together.
Last summer, TMZ and Daily Mail reported that Pitt and Jolie wanted to settle their long-running dispute over the winery out of court. The Hollywood star previously sued his ex-wife for selling her shares to a Russian businessman without permission. According to Pitt’s lawyers, this was not allowed.
The couple bought the French castle and its vineyard in 2008. They also got married there in 2014. The two stars both owned part of the shares, which could only be resold with the other’s permission. The rosés from Chateau Miraval in particular are considered by connoisseurs to be among the best in the world.
