Terzic about the header goal: “Yesterday at the press conference we talked about the fact that he wanted to teach Schlotti (Nico Schlotterbeck, editor) how to be strong in the header. Such games are often decided by standard situations. Mats did an outstanding job.”
But suddenly the coach turns to his player.
Terzic says: “But Mats, you have to do it at least once more.”
Hummels is slightly confused at first. He probably didn’t expect Terzic to address him directly.
After a short pause he answers: “Gladly. (laughs) I have rarely followed an instruction so happily.”

For the defender, it is the first Champions League goal for BVB in over ten years. He last scored in the round of 16 between Dortmund and Donetsk. He scored again for Bayern in 2018. “I didn’t score enough Champions League goals anyway. It was a very good time to expand a little,” says Hummels.
