Kollam: The Congress has demanded a CBI inquiry into the allegations of MLA Mathew Kuzhalnathan that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan received Rs 100 crore from CMRL. In connection with KPCC Samaragni, KPCC president K. Sudhakaran and opposition leader V. D. Satheesan came out against the Chief Minister in a press conference held in Kollam.

“Mathew Kuzhalnadan’s allegation that there was a corruption of 100 crores is very serious. A Chief Minister who has committed corruption while in office has no right to continue in power. CBI investigation should be done against CM. Congress will take legal action against the Chief Minister. The government should be ready to investigate this. Pinarayi Vijayan’s name has been cropping up in two recent scandals in Kerala. The Chief Minister who committed corruption while in power should resign. The SFIO extended the probe period because of the CPM-BJP alliance. With the elections approaching, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and BJP President K. Surendran are talking like Siamese twins.

The Karnataka government has announced an aid of Rs 15 lakh to the family of Ajeesh who was killed in a katana attack. It was in the intervention of Rahul Gandhi and KC Venugopal. However, the controversial BJP action is inhumane. KPCC will provide financial assistance to the family of Ajeesh who refused the help of the Karnataka government.” – said K. Sudhakaran.

Mathew Kuzhalnadan MLA has alleged that Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who has repeatedly interfered illegally for the CMRL company and the CRMEL company promoted by them in connection with the black sand mining contract, has received around one hundred crore rupees from the CMRL company. Kuzhalnadan also alleged that the real accused in the Masapadi case is the Chief Minister. The corruption committed by Chief Minister’s daughter Veena is relatively small. Kuzhalnadan asked why the Chief Minister is keeping his own daughter under suspicion. Ministers P. Rajeev and M.B. Rajesh was also challenged to a debate by Kuzhalnadan.

It is alleged that the Chief Minister intervened by bypassing the Revenue Department for the CRMEL company, which had sought relaxation in the land limitation rule. KREML is a CMRL promoting company which allegedly paid monthly salary to CMRL’s daughter Veena’s company. Kuzhalnadan alleges that the Chief Minister illegally intervened for the 51 acres of land in Thirkunnapuzha that they bought.
