City Fitness is expanding into New Jersey, with ⁢plans to open two⁢ locations in Hoboken totaling 64,066 square feet of fitness space.

The Philadelphia-based fitness brand has secured leases for spaces at 1000 Maxwell Lane and 38 Jackson ⁣Street, with potential for further expansion into jersey City, according to Avison Young, the commercial real estate firm representing City Fitness ⁢in⁣ the transactions.

“City Fitness is a true innovator in the fitness space, offering a high-end neighborhood fitness ⁤experience at an accessible⁢ price point,” ⁣said Scott Martin, Principal at avison Young, in a press release.

The larger Hoboken location, encompassing ⁢39,066 square feet, will be located at 1000 Maxwell Lane within Maxwell Place, a mixed-use growth. The property is near Frank Sinatra Drive and Hudson Street, adjacent to Elysian Park and Maxwell Place Park, and a block from Washington Street’s retail and dining options. Asana Partners owns the property, and JLL’s Matt McDonagh represented the landlord.

The second location will occupy 25,000 square feet at 38 Jackson St. within Southend ‍Hoboken, a new mixed-use development featuring 110 residential condominiums and 100,000 square feet ⁢of retail and commercial space. the Taurasi Group owns the property, which occupies a full city block at the intersection of Jackson Street and Observer Highway, across from Southwest resiliency Park.
