FC Bayern is looking for a new coach. Thomas Tuchel would probably have continued with Munich beyond the summer.
The trainer search at FC Bayern has been taking quite a while now. The Munich-based company is looking for a successor Thomas Tuchel, who will leave the club at the end of the season. But the German record champions have already received rejections from several well-known coaches in recent weeks, including Xabi Alonso, Julian Nagelsmann and Ralf Rangnick.
As the pay TV broadcaster Sky reports, there were even discussions internally in the club about continuing with Thomas Tuchel. The 50-year-old is said to have been open to this possibility. But: The door to continued employment is currently closed, it goes on to say.
For Tuchel there are currently two exciting options for the future: Manchester United or a return to Chelsea FCwith Tuchel in 2021 Champions League won. The Bayern coach is said to have already had loose contact with the “Red Devils”. Their coach Erik ten Hag is reportedly ironically on Munich’s list as Tuchel’s successor.
