Ticket sales for the concerts of Adele (35) in Munich have caused a real rush. The first wave on Wednesday morning saw 3 million fans in the queue. Prices are also shooting through the ceiling.

Next summer, Adele will be back on a European stage, in a custom-made arena in Munich. Initially, four concerts were announced, but that number was increased to ten. Fans had to register in advance for Wednesday’s ticket sales. Tickets for the shows on August 2, 3, 9 and 10 went on sale at 10am.

That brought out a crowd: at peak time, three million people were in the queue. Most fans therefore missed out on a ticket, and those who did, paid a lot for it. Anyone who wants to sit at the front will pay just under 420 euros for it. In the other categories you pay between 150 and 370 euros, unless you choose the cheapest place, at the very back of the arena. A ticket there costs ‘only’ 75 euros. “Crazy,” say fans on X.

The pre-sale for the concerts on August 14, 16, 23 and 24 started at 2:00 PM. Tickets for August 30 and 31 are on sale from 6:00 PM. There will be another general sale on Friday for fans who did not register. It seems impossible that there will still be places available.
