Yes, we – the family blog “Chetri kejalje gardi” – visited Ukraine and celebrated the New Year with those wonderful and brave people. Since it is impossible to tell everything in one go, we will try to share in parts what we experienced there, what we saw and what emotions flooded us.
The first Latvians after a long break
We fully understand that the question will inevitably arise – why? There was an option to do as we have been doing for almost ten years – to go to another European country and celebrate the New Year there, or to buy an all-inclusive trip and just lie by the pool for two weeks. The second option did not suit us at all, because our family simply does not pay that way.
