Comcast Reports Q4 2025 Results: Broadband Losses Offset by Mobile Growth and Peacock Success
Comcast reported mixed results for the fourth quarter of 2025, with declines in broadband and cable TV revenue partially offset by growth in mobile subscriptions and the streaming service Peacock. the company is undertaking a notable shift in its broadband strategy, focusing on simplified pricing and packaging.
Broadband and Cable Trends
Comcast’s domestic broadband revenue decreased to $6.32 billion, down from $6.38 billion in the same quarter of the previous year. Cable TV revenue also declined, falling from $6.74 billion to $6.36 billion year-over-year. The company lost 104,000 broadband customers in Q4 2025.
Despite these losses, comcast is actively working to address these trends. According to Michael Cavanagh, Comcast’s CEO, the company has made “the most significant go-to-market shift in our company’s history,” moving away from short-term promotions towards a more transparent value proposition. He stated that 2026 will be the “largest broadband investment year in our history,” focused on improving customer experience and simplifying offerings, with the goal of migrating the majority of residential broadband customers to the new pricing structure by the end of the year.
Mobile Growth and Strategy
Comcast’s mobile business continues to be a shining spot, with revenue increasing from $1.19 billion to $1.40 billion year-over-year. The company added 1.5 million new mobile lines in 2025, bringing the total to over 9 million. Comcast offers mobile service through a partnership with verizon and has recently
entered into an agreement with T-Mobile to provide mobile services to business customers.
Peacock Streaming Service Performance
The Peacock streaming service continues to drive revenue growth for Comcast. Peacock subscribers increased by 22 percent year-over-year to 44 million, and revenue grew 23 percent to $1.6 billion in the quarter. This performance contributed to Comcast meeting analysts’ revenue projections and exceeding profit estimates.
