In a proactive approach to protecting public health, the city of Dijon is launching a series of information meetings aimed at raising residents’ awareness of the risks linked to the tiger mosquito, a potential vector of diseases such as dengue, chikungunya and Zika. Since its identification in France in 2004, this pest has represented a serious threat to health, requiring increased vigilance from everyone.

Thus, every citizen is invited to participate in these meetings, open to all regardless of their neighborhood of residence. The main objective is to provide detailed information on effective prevention measures to limit the proliferation of the tiger mosquito in the region.

The Regional Health Agency as well as the Promotion Santé association will be present during these meetings to answer participants’ questions and provide practical advice.

The meetings will take place as follows:

  • Monday May 13 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Neighborhoods Chevreul – Park – University / Greuze school gymnasium

  • Tuesday May 14 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Bourroches neighborhoods – Fontaine d’Ouche / Bourroches gymnasium
