Four people, including two children, have been taken to hospital after two cars collided south of Torsby. A total of six people were traveling in the cars and one person was initially trapped but got out.
One of the cars caught fire after the crash. Several ambulances and an ambulance helicopter were called to the scene and the road was completely closed on Saturday morning.
– The injury status of the four who were taken to hospital is unclear, says Lars Hedelin.
At 9.30 there were still rescuers at the scene of the accident.
– There will be a major traffic impact during the rest of the day because it is sports holiday traffic. Right now it is completely stopped in the northbound direction, while it rolls slowly south, says Lars Hedelin.
He urges the travelers who intend to take the E45 to choose other routes as far as possible. The cause of the accident is unknown, but it is supposed to be slippery at the site.
