Never had tuberculosis Has high blood pressure, doesn’t drink alcohol, doesn’t smoke, has 3 children, no one in the house has tuberculosis, has been infected with Covid 1 time.

Physical examination: no fever, oxygen level at the fingertips normal, lung auscultation normal, lung x-ray showing white patches on the upper left lung. (See picture) A blood test found no HIV infection.

The sputum was stained and found to have tuberculosis. PCR testing revealed the genetic code for tuberculosis. Mycobacterium tuberculosis is sensitive to rifampicin.

Diagnosis: Pneumonia caused by tuberculosis.
