“Eclosion”. A collective exhibition in Rabat which highlights several artistic expressions

The opening of the collective exhibition “Eclosion: uninhibit your imagination” took place on Wednesday at the Expo space of the Mohammed VI Foundation for the promotion of social works of education-training in Rabat, the opportunity to celebrate different talents and artistic expressions.

This exhibition, which will continue until August 31, invites art lovers to discover the paintings, works and original creations of more than 60 subscribers, adults and children, of the cultural center of the “IKLYLE” Foundation who have translated their inspirations and expressed their ideas and thoughts through paintings and sculptures.

“It is a very colorful and spontaneous exhibition which brings together different schools and artistic disciplines, in particular painting, ceramics and sculpture”, indicated, in a statement to MAP, the head of the cultural and artistic animation service at the within the Foundation, Radouane Mourai, adding that the objective of this event is to celebrate the various talents.

This event, which sheds light on the works and creations of participants in the painting and plastic arts workshops of the Foundation’s “IKLYLE” cultural center, is the fruit of several months of work, he added, noting that it also marks the beginning of a long artistic career for these young talents.

Mr. Mourai also indicated that the Foundation promises throughout the year a rich and varied cultural program and offers a set of cultural services for the benefit of the members of the center. For his part, the workshop supervisor and painter, Said Erraji, pointed out that during these artistic activities, there were several reflections with the participants on the works of renowned Moroccan and international artists, explaining that “this first year was focused on researching techniques and different styles”.

“This exhibition represents a festival of colors and fine arts”, he confided, expressing his pride in having supervised and followed these young talents, children and adults, who have created very beautiful works of different artistic styles.

“I really enjoyed this experience, during which I learned not only several artistic techniques but also the fact of having a lot of patience when drawing,” said Aya Benslama, a young participant in the exhibition, adding that “the different activities that are provided in this center are very instructive and interesting”.

Intended for members of the Foundation and open to the general public, these workshops, which are part of a set of cultural services offered by the network of cultural centers IKLYLE, allow the practice of several disciplines in visual arts and music.

The IKLYLE cultural centers also house equipped workshops with all the professional equipment for discovering or improving skills in painting, drawing, sculpture and ceramics, photography, graphic design, computer graphics and illustration.

Aware of the interactions between culture and education, the Mohammed VI Foundation for the promotion of social works of education-training has been committed since 2009 to the development and promotion of its cultural action. It began with the establishment of exhibition galleries and a network of cultural centers, now called “IKLYLE”, in the cities of Rabat, Tangier and Tetouan and which will be expanded to cover other cities in the Kingdom.
