A member of the main school club of the Montreal chapter of the Hells Angels was injured in the head in a road accident Saturday morning, on the sidelines of the large annual gathering of Quebec criminal bikers, which is held all weekend end in Estrie.

According to our information, motorcyclist Marc-Antoine Ghaleb was traveling on Highway 55 when he was involved in a collision with a car around 11 a.m., at kilometer 69, in Saint-François-Xavier-de-Brompton, in the suburbs of Sherbrooke.

The 32-year-old Marauders member fell from his Harley-Davidson and lost his helmet on impact. He suffered a head injury, but his life is not in any danger. Ghaleb reportedly suffered a laceration to his forehead.

The motorist involved in the collision was not injured.

This accident occurred at a time when, a few kilometers away, in Saint-Denis-de-Brompton, a huge gathering of outlaw bikers was taking place in which all members in good standing of the Hells Angels in the province were required to participate, by virtue of their internal regulations.

The event, which takes place throughout the weekend, brings together several hundred Hells Angels, members of around thirty supporter clubs and sympathizing clubs.

This annual gathering, called the First Run, is above all a visibility operation and a show of force for the biker gang.

This is their first official hike of the year.

Throughout the weekend, bikers will party at the haunt of the Sherbrooke chapter of the Hells Angels, located in an isolated area of ​​Saint-Denis-de-Brompton, a small municipality of 4,500 inhabitants.
