Ukrainian soybeans were thrown from a freight train at the Polish border station in Dorohusk, Polish news agency PAP reported on Saturday.

According to the report, the police have launched an investigation into the incident. It is estimated that about 5 tons of this product was damaged.

It is not yet clear who is behind the incident, but Polish farmers have been protesting the import of cheap Ukrainian agricultural products for several weeks, sometimes unloading them.

Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister and Infrastructure Minister Aleksandr Kubrakov called on Polish law enforcement authorities to take urgent action. “The systematic destruction of agricultural production in Ukraine is like planned sabotage,” he said. – Our country is defending itself [nuo Rusijos invazijos] and survives thanks to farmers.”

Polish farmers’ protests have intensified in recent weeks. They aim to prevent cheaper Ukrainian grain from reaching the domestic market. The European Union has suspended all import tariffs and quotas for Ukrainian agricultural products to help the country’s economy.
