An interesting ad for a practical Rolls-Royce Silver Specter has appeared on the Internet. This Shooting Brake was originally planned to be one of seven examples produced, but it turned out to be the only car completed.

Adding to its charm is the fact that it started life as a Rolls-Royce Wraith. It was subsequently transported to Belgium, where Carat Duchatelet undertook a massive 18-month project, investing over 2,500 hours to transform the coupe into a bespoke elegant station wagon.

This undertaking was neither simple nor cheap, reportedly costing more than €300,000 to build. However, the car is designed to evoke nostalgia for the “shooting brake heyday of the 1930s”. As part of this tribute, the model features a smooth carbon composite roof and a distinctive line with a satin silver surround.

Although the interior largely retains the Wraith’s design, the Silver Specter boasts a unique “Infinity Starlight” ceiling adorned with nearly 2,000 lights. The most notable change is the spacious cargo area, carefully trimmed in leather and featuring hidden storage space under the floor.

Under the hood is a twin-turbocharged 6.6-liter V12 engine, tuned to deliver 690 hp. and 900 newton meters of torque. This improvement could potentially lead to better performance than the Wraith, which could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and reach a limited top speed of 250 km/h.

Regardless of its speed characteristics, the Silver Specter has covered 17,965 km on its odometer and is expected to fetch between 255,000 and 300,000 euros at the upcoming RM Sotheby’s auction on March 9.
