France Boosts Security: 333 New Recruits to Protect the Nation

Burkinabe Soldiers Complete Training, Ready to Defend the Nation

Dori, Burkina⁢ Faso – February 6, 2026 – The 4th military Region recently held a ceremony ‍at Camp Liptako in Dori to mark the completion of training for the⁤ 2025 contingent of soldiers. The 333 soldiers, originating from the Volunteer Defense of the Homeland (VDP) in the Liptako region, were presented to the national flag on February 5, 2026, signifying⁣ the culmination of their⁤ three-month training program.

The training, conducted at the Regional ⁣Training Centre ⁣(CRI) of the 4th⁢ Military Region, encompassed six phases: administrative procedures, adaptation, regulations, technical skills,⁤ consolidation of⁢ knowledge, and social cohesion and resilience building.⁢ According to Lieutenant Moussa Dalbilgou, Deputy Commander of the CRI, the curriculum provided a multidisciplinary military education, including physical,‍ military, and⁤ sports training,⁣ as well as combat skills.

“You have now reached⁣ the end of these three months of intense training during which you have been tested in many ways,” Lieutenant⁤ Dalbilgou addressed the soldiers. “Although the journey may have seemed endless for many⁤ of you, know that you have emerged ⁣stronger in terms of skills and essential ⁢qualities that make you full members of our noble Burkinabe military‍ family.” He urged ⁤them to represent the Burkinabe army with dignity, ⁤upholding military⁢ regulations, respecting citizens’⁣ rights and property, and⁤ fostering collaboration and cohesion.

commander Fayçal ilboudo, of the 41st Commando infantry Regiment (RIC), representing the Commander of the 4th Military Region, emphasized the soldiers’ transition from recruits to fully-fledged soldiers prepared for military service. “Soldiers of the 2025 contingent, your duty is to serve‍ your‍ army with loyalty, honour, and fidelity. The flag to which you have been presented embodies what you ⁢love and defend – the legacy of sweat and blood bequeathed to us by our ancestors. It is a symbol of unity for better or for worse.” He highlighted the contingent’s importance in reinforcing the army’s efforts⁣ to regain control of the territory, encouraging them to apply their‍ acquired knowledge and continue learning throughout their careers.

Second Class Soldier ‍Adama Hassane, speaking on behalf of the⁤ 2025 ‍contingent, expressed gratitude⁢ for the opportunity to⁢ join⁢ the national armed forces and pledged to defend the homeland, even unto sacrifice.
