Physical-world utility is also expanding past simple audio exchanges. One in five Gemini Live interactions utilizes live camera feeds and screen sharing for real-time troubleshooting. This multimodal capability has found a strong audience among do-it-yourself enthusiasts and students, with 38% of school-related prompts including file attachments, according to Google’s platform metrics.
On mobile devices, Android users leverage Gemini to automate actions across more than 40 popular applications, streamlining tasks such as booking rides and reserving restaurant tables. Meanwhile, adoption on Apple hardware continues to climb, with over 100 million active users on iOS. Google noted that macOS power users prompt the assistant roughly twice as frequently as users on other desktop and mobile surfaces.
