How dangerous are energizers?

According to a study published last month in the journal of the Royal Society of Public Health in Great Britain, the caffeine content in an energy drink is between 50 and 505 milligrams.

The maximum amount is found in five and a half cups of coffee. Energy drinks often also contain guarana, ginseng or taurine – energy compounds that interact with caffeine.

According to doctors, in the body of children and teenagers, the effects of energy drinks are felt 10 minutes after finishing a dose. The heart starts beating faster and the blood pressure rises. After half an hour to 50 minutes, the pupils dilate, blood pressure rises even more, and the liver begins to dump more sugar into the blood. Then the brain receives signals to stay alert.

Imagine that this is how the brain and heart work normally. Consuming a lot of caffeine turns them – not at all, healthy.

Adrian Ploae, cardiologist:Excessive energizing consumption will produce heart failure, the heart beating faster no longer receives enough oxygen to carry on that effort, overtaxing the heart a lot”.

Cifor’s parents did not want to comment on the tragic end of their boy. The family has two children at home, one three years old and the other seven years old.
