Though, a significant shift occurred last Monday when White announced his withdrawal from the gubernatorial race. According to reports from the Houston Chronicle, Hinojosa currently holds a commanding lead among Democratic voters. A survey conducted by Barbara Jordan Public Policy Research indicates she has secured 41% of the support, compared to White’s 6%. This demonstrates a clear preference for Hinojosa within the party base.
