The evening unfolded as a elegant blend of art, entertainment, and generosity, all set against the picturesque backdrop of the venetian waterfront. Guests began with a reception featuring champagne, canapés, and classic Italian cocktails like spritzes and negronis, while enjoying a preview of the artwork slated for auction.

The highlight of the night was a live auction of contemporary art, jewelry, and exclusive vacation packages. Remarkably, the auction generated $3.4 million to support amfAR’s critical work.
Director Julian Schnabel, preparing to unveil his latest film “In the Hand of dante” at the festival, generously donated one of his signature plate portraits – a unique artwork painted on broken dishes. Singer Halsey was among the winning bidders, securing one of Schnabel’s distinctive creations.
Personal Connection Fuels Support
Halsey shared a deeply personal reason for her support of amfAR. She revealed a recent diagnosis of two severe autoimmune diseases and highlighted amfAR’s commitment to research in both autoimmune conditions and cancer. “The work they do allows people like me with less access than me to get treatment that they really, really need to live the lives that they deserve to live,” she explained.Schnabel himself was honored with an Award of Inspiration, recognizing his long-standing dedication to amfAR’s life-saving research initiatives.
