A renowned neurologist from the Capital destroyed not once, but twice, a cafe in Sector 1 with a machete. In the second attack, the 33-year-old doctor was caught red-handed by the police. The agents had to summon him with the pistol so that the man would give up the white weapon. The neurologist would have been under the influence of psychotropic drugs and alcohol, say his relatives.

The neurologist was at the second incident
The images captured by the surveillance cameras show how the doctor tries to cut the Internet and electricity cables in the premises.
The 33-year-old individual then uses the weapon to force the entrance door. Without success. The owner of the cafe saw him on the cameras and immediately called 112.
Bianca Iacob, Observer reporter: After being caught red-handed by the police, the man started running in the streets around the cafe with a machete in his hand. Although, the police summoned him with the pistol several times to drop the white weapon, only in the end did he do so, but continued his run. He was caught behind the block where he lives by the police, handcuffed and taken to the police station.
Maceta helped the police shed light on another case with an unknown perpetrator. The same weapon had been used in a burglary at the same cafe in mid-December. Then, the doctor forced the door with the machete and allegedly set fire to the storage room.
For almost two months, the patron of the cafe was afraid that the attacker could return at any time. What happened. He says that he never suspected for a moment that the attacker was his neighbor. And especially that he is a renowned doctor.
Cafe owner: A friend contacted me to say he was sorry. He told me that he has problems sleeping, he works a lot. He has 3 jobs. He said that he couldn’t sleep anymore and he combined some pills, which caused some hallucinations that he doesn’t remember.
Medical reporter: Did you prescribe your own prescriptions? Where did you get the pills, the medicine?

– Did you combine alcohol with medication?
Lawyer: We have nothing to declare! Come on!
Last week, before the latest attack, a private clinic with which he collaborated for the past two years terminated his contract. According to Observator sources, the doctor’s colleagues complained that he was behaving strangely.
Cafe owner: I understand that he is also married. So he seems like a very normal man, who goes about his business. He is a much-loved doctor, from what I understand from acquaintances.
The doctor is now accused of destruction and has been placed under judicial control for 60 days.
