The work of the second edition of the Arab Scout Forum was held from April 29 to May 3 at the Moulay Rachid Youth and Childhood Complex in Bouznika, under the theme “Arab Scouting: Solidarity in team spirit “.

This forum, organized by Scout Jawal (SJ), a parallel organization of the Progress and Socialism Party (PPS), in partnership in particular with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication and the National University of Holiday Camps , was marked by the participation of scout organizations from several Arab countries, who came to exchange their respective experiences and take part in training workshops, among other activities which spanned a week.

In a statement to MAP, on the occasion of the closing of the forum, Mohamed Nabil Benabdellah, secretary general of the PPS, affirmed that this Arab forum, which is held every year, aims to forge links of cooperation between the different Arab scout organizations.

He noted that this platform allows the exchange of experiences and the promotion of joint action of Arab scout organizations, in the sense of strengthening scouting, given the role it plays in the education of young people, training in the values ​​of active and responsible citizenship.

Abderrazzek Zaki, member of the general command of the SJ organization, noted, for his part, that the Arab Scout Forum is a place of meeting, sharing and exchange, Scout Jawal being open to its Arab, continental and international environment for the promotion of the values ​​of scouting.

And added that the training workshops organized on this occasion set themselves the objective of creating a new generation of scout leaders, capable of carrying the torch, in order to develop the means of action and adapt to the changes that are taking place. impose.

For her part, Réda Mdimegh, trainer representing the scouts of Tunisia, welcomed the holding of this Arab forum in Morocco, indicating that this event was an opportunity to exchange with colleagues from other Arab countries about programs and activities. of different organizations.

Created in 1998, the Scout Jawal organization, a member of the National Alliance of the Scout Movement in Morocco,’s missions include the social, behavioral and scientific education of young people, the organization of medico-social caravans and educational camps. and contribution to recreational, educational and social activities.
