Personalized and monitored

This Cardiac Rehabilitation Program is aimed at all patients who have a cardiac pathology and are compensated. To do this, “they are previously evaluated by the cardiologist, who determines their hemodynamic status and whether they require any type of adaptation to the program. This phase, on many occasions, is carried out in a hospital, before the surgical intervention,” explains Dr. Ollé.

The program is completely personalized, as it adapts to the needs of the patient and he is “monitored at all times so that the specialist can follow the rhythm of the vital signs, that is, blood pressure, heart rate, power of effort , etc., and check that they follow the appropriate progression in case any variation should be applied,” adds Dr. Ollé.

The HM Nou Delfos Cardiac Rehabilitation Program lasts 2-3 months and is carried out on an outpatient basis, but it is recommended to continue it afterwards in a sports center or at home, but always under the supervision of a professional.

The medical director of HM Nou Delfos, Dr. Julio García Prieto, states that “this project launched by the new Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit is another example of the coordinated work carried out by the different specialists at HM Nou Delfos to offer multidisciplinary care. to our patients, since in this case, it involves cardiologists, rehabilitation doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, nutritionists and psychologists. “This encourages a comprehensive approach to patient care and allows us to effectively address the different needs of each patient.”

The territorial director of HM Hospitales in Catalonia, Dr. Lidón Millá, for her part, assures that “the creation of the new Cardiac Rehabilitation Unit and the launch of its program means that we can continue increasing our offer of highly specialized care, one of the main bets of HM Hospitales.
