Huawei launches two new wearables

Although Huawei hardly sells smartphones here anymore, wearables from the Chinese manufacturer are still selling like hot cakes – also in our country. At a launch event in Dubai this week, Huawei added two new models to its lineup: the Watch Fit 3 and the Watch 4 Pro Space Edition.

The Watch Fit 3 looks surprisingly similar to the Apple Watch in terms of design, but its price is of a different caliber. The watch, available from May 22, will be sold at 159.99 euros and will thus prove remarkably competitive.

Digital Crown

The Watch Fit 3 features a 1.85-inch AMOLED screen, a ‘thickness’ of 9.9 mm and a weight of only 26 grams. Its case is made of an aluminum alloy and is equipped with a digital crown allowing you to navigate through the gadget’s options by rotation. The Fit 3 is available in different colors. Several bracelets (interchangeable) are also available.

In terms of control, the gadget features TruSleep 4.0 technology (for more accurate sleep scoring) and TruSeen 5.5 health indicators with 30 percent more stable heart rate monitoring and ability to check SpO2 (oxygen saturation) in just 25 seconds.

Aerospace materials

Huawei also presented a special Space Edition of its Watch 4 Pro this week. According to the manufacturer, this watch is partly made from aerospace materials, and its design ‘is inspired by the Laval nozzle used in rockets and spacecraft’. This should be reflected, among other things, in the ceramic ring and the interactive Laval dial.

As mentioned above, the new watch is equipped with TruSeen 5.5+ (for even more advanced health monitoring) and has a new feature that allows you to test several basic health indicators in just sixty seconds. The indicative price of the Huawei Watch 4 Pro Space Edition has not yet been announced.
