Meet the Contestants Taking on the Ultimate Challenge in Channel 4’s “Hunted“
Channel 4’s thrilling chase series, “Hunted,” is back, pitting everyday individuals against a team of expert hunters. This year’s contestants represent a diverse range of backgrounds and motivations, promising a season filled with strategic gameplay and edge-of-your-seat suspense. Let’s take a closer look at the individuals stepping into the challenging world of evasion.
Ste & Chris: Challenging Perceptions
Ste, a project manager, and Chris, a dedicated charity worker, both hail from Warring. They bring a unique dynamic too the competition, driven by a powerful desire to redefine public perception. Ste, who is registered blind, noted a important lack of authentic representation of visually impaired individuals in media.
He explained that when blind people are portrayed on television, they often fall into outdated stereotypes. Ste possesses some remaining vision, allowing him to utilize a cane while still perceiving his surroundings – a nuance often overlooked. This personal experience fueled his motivation to participate in “Hunted,” aiming to demonstrate that people with disabilities are often underestimated, even within their own communities.
Saffron & Dionne: A Mother-Daughter Bond on the Run
Saffron, a payroll and compliance manager, and her mother, Dionne, a solicitor, are a dynamic duo from Essex. Their participation in “Hunted” marks a special “last hurrah” before Saffron embarks on a new chapter.
Dionne highlighted that both she and Saffron typically engage in mentally demanding professions. They wanted to prove to themselves – and perhaps others - that they possess the physical and creative thinking skills to excel outside of their comfort zones.
Warren & Shaq: Brotherhood Tested
Warren and Shaq, brother-in-laws and both skilled builders from Brixton, are exploring the limits of their friendship under immense pressure. Shaq shared that the idea to apply for ”Hunted” originated with Warren.
He saw it as an opportunity for personal growth, a challenge to push his boundaries and truly test his abilities. Their established bond will undoubtedly be a key asset as they navigate the complexities of evading capture.
