Hidroelectrica, a state-controlled company, sent its private customers from Prahova proposals for extending contracts with higher tariffs than the previous ones.
Individual customers of Hidroelectrica, a company in which the state is the majority shareholder, receive proposals for contract extensions during this period, writes The Prahovean Observatory.
According to the offer, which is valid for 12 months, the rates are higher than the previous ones. Distribution rates differ from region to region.
Thus, customers in Prahova will pay a rate of 0.9 lei for one kw, almost 10 pennies more than before, says the cited publication, which also presents a notification received these days by Hidroelectrica customers in the county.
Government-imposed cap applied to new rates

For a consumption of over 255 kwh, the rate of 0.9 lei is charged, compared to 1.3 lei as the capped rate.
