iPhones increasingly victims of spyware: Apple sounds the alert

Apple had already alerted its users in April, and now the firm is at it again: spyware is trying to attack the iPhones of users in more than 150 countries. A threat that must be taken seriously.

It might seem like a scam or a hoax, but these messages indicating that“Apple has detected that you are the target of a mercenary spyware attack that is attempting to remotely compromise the iPhone associated with your Apple ID” are to be taken seriously. These alerts, however, give little information on the very nature of the spies in question, even if BlackBerry seems to suspect LightSpy software.

The Cupertino company remains silent on the issue.

Anyway, if you receive these kinds of messages, the Apple brand has advice for you : activate iPhone lock mode, and be particularly careful when going online and using your iPhone. While this unfortunately won’t retroactively undo the spying on your phone, it should prevent any further attacks.

To do this properly, you should also update your iPhone and change your passwords. Apple of course takes this opportunity to remind you to only download apps from the App Store, and to use particularly strong passwords…

Also note that, if you received this message, then the attack must be particularly recent, since the apple brand prides itself on notifying you within 24 hours…
