Foster Dominates Fulton, Claims WBC Interim Lightweight Championship
The co-main event delivered a masterclass in boxing technique as O’Shaquie Foster (24-3, 12 KOs) thoroughly outboxed and defeated former two-division champion Stephen Fulton (23-2, 8 KOs) to claim the vacant WBC interim lightweight title.
The fight was initially scheduled for Foster’s WBC junior lightweight title, but fulton’s failure to make weight at 130 pounds led to a last-minute change, elevating the stakes to an interim title fight at 135 pounds and making foster the mandatory challenger to Shakur Stevenson.
Foster’s performance was nothing short of spectacular. He expertly controlled the distance with a crisp, consistent jab, keeping Fulton largely at bay throughout the 12 rounds.
