England’s fattest man dies

Jason, who weighed around 500 kilos, was under intensive care at the Royal Surrey County Hospital, on the outskirts of London, where he was transferred in a special operation that required the intervention of six firefighters and an ambulance adapted for his transfer.

“They put him on kidney dialysis and an intravenous drip, but his kidneys simply stopped working,” lamented the mother, who claims that she did not leave his side during his last hospital stay.

Jason’s treating doctor had foreseen the fatal outcome, informing the family that due to the deterioration of his organs, his time was limited. “Jason started to deteriorate quickly after that,” his mother added.

Jason’s medical history includes a long battle with obesity, which intensified after the death of his father during his adolescence.

The situation became so critical that in 2020 it was necessary to use a crane to transfer him to the hospital after suffering serious complications.

Since the death of Carl Thompson in 2015, who weighed 650 kilograms, Jason had become the heaviest man in the UK.

Recently, Jason hoped to be a candidate for treatment with Wegovy, an obesity medication, but unfortunately he did not receive it.
