A new era of governance is underway for our international table tennis federation, and I wont to share a detailed update on the progress we’re making. This isn’t just about updating rules; it’s about building a stronger, more representative, and more effective institution for you, our member associations and stakeholders.
We understand the importance of clarity and inclusivity. Therefore, the current ITTF Constitution, along with all related communications, has been meticulously translated into each of our official languages. This ensures everyone has equal access to information and can participate fully in the process.
To further facilitate open dialog, we’ve partnered with Wordly. This innovative platform will provide real-time transcription and interpretation in all official languages during our upcoming Regional Dialogues, breaking down interaction barriers and fostering genuine collaboration.
Strengthening the Reform Process with Expert Guidance
In September,we took a significant step forward by engaging a leading global consulting firm to support our reform efforts. Thay bring a wealth of experience in governance and organizational reform, having successfully partnered with prominent sporting organizations like FIFA, World Athletics, and the international Olympic committee.
Their role is multifaceted. They will rigorously review and validate the process design, assist in drafting the new Constitution to ensure it aligns with best practices, and ultimately deliver a final report certifying the integrity of the entire process. This independent oversight guarantees impartiality and adherence to international standards.
Furthermore, I’ve proactively sought counsel from legal and governance experts across other international federations and civil society organizations. Their valuable insights are already shaping our approach and reinforcing the foundations of this crucial reform.
