Singer Jaap Reesema will be on the cover of the next month with his six-pack Men’s Health. “I still often feel fat, I don’t know if that will ever go away.”
The 39-year-old Reesema used to be a lot heavier and therefore sometimes still feels insecure. Yet he is proud of the cover, which shows him with a six-pack. “I’ve often thought: this won’t work at all,” the singer says RTL Boulevard.
The singer previously shared on Instagram that he weighed 112 kilos in his younger years. “Absurd when I think about it like that. I still struggle against the kilos every day. Netflix, wine and a special frikadel don’t always help,” Reesema wrote at the time.
The cover of the men’s magazine was a good incentive for Reesema to keep training, he says. “You have no excuse, you have to be on that cover and then I can’t fail.” Reesema follows several well-known Dutch people with his cover.
Previously, Arie Boomsma, Nick Schilder and Kaj Gorgels, among others, were on the cover of the magazine.
