Kerry Werner secured his first win of the season at the North Carolina Grand Prix of Cyclocross (NCGP), delivering a thrilling performance in a tightly contested race. A Battle to the Finish
With just one lap remaining, the lead changed hands multiple times between Werner, Bashir, and Clark.Bashir initially surged ahead, but Clark remained close behind, poised to challenge. Werner skillfully regained the lead as the riders approached the barriers, leveraging his ability to navigate the obstacles efficiently.
A minor error by Bashir in the final technical sections created an opening for Werner. He seized the opportunity, building a crucial gap heading into “The Wall” for the last time.
