Head coach Rob Walter emphasized Williamson’s value, stating, “Kane’s ability on the field speaks for itself and it will be great to have his skills as well as his leadership back in the Test group.” he’s currently preparing for red-ball cricket with Northern Districts in the plunket Shield, ensuring he’s match-ready.

Blair Tickner’s recall is a testament to his impressive recent form in ODI cricket against England, where he claimed eight wickets in two matches. this provides a valuable addition to the pace attack.
