Inspiration and Creation ‍of Carve

“Property” emerged from a collection of “amalgamation of dream ⁢images and visions” experienced by Mohr throughout ⁤2025.The song is also inspired by a hidden⁢ urban landscape ⁣- an underground waterway⁢ Mohr ⁤discovered beneath the⁢ city. She ⁢describes the experience of exploring this space, including climbing ladders to access vantage points.

Carve follows⁣ Mohr’s critically acclaimed 2025 debut full-length album, Waiting Room. ‍Mohr spent ⁣five years writing the 12 songs that comprise Carve, culminating in a recording session⁢ in⁣ the Mojave Desert. Mixing‍ was handled by‍ Richard Chowenhill, guitarist for⁣ agriculture.

Mohr describes Carve as ⁤an exploration of how memory is ‍externalized through landscapes and locations, and how love can manifest as both grief and intimacy.
