Thiruvananthapuram: The Central Meteorological Department has warned about the possibility of rain in Kerala during the summer heat. The notification came from March 30 to April 3. According to the Central Meteorological Department, rain is likely to occur in 9 districts today. Meanwhile on March 31, only one district has a rain forecast. Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Thrissur and Palakkad districts are likely to receive rain today (30/03/2024). Rain is likely to occur in Ernakulam tomorrow(31/03/2024).

The Central Meteorological Department has informed that four districts namely Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam and Idukki are likely to receive rain on April 1. Seven districts are likely to receive rain on April 2. Seven districts namely Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki are likely to receive rain. Meanwhile, the Central Meteorological Department has predicted the possibility of rain in 9 districts on April 3. Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki, Wayanad and Kannur districts are likely to receive rain.

At the same time, the Central Meteorological Department has informed that severe heat will continue in the state till April 1. In this situation, yellow alert has been announced in 10 districts. These are in Kollam, Thrissur, Palakkad, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Kozhikode, Kannur and Thiruvananthapuram districts.
