King Charles attended a church service in Sandringham on Sunday. It is the first time that the 75-year-old British monarch has appeared among the people since it was announced that he has cancer.

The British court announced on Monday that Charles is being treated for a form of cancer. The king has temporarily ceased his public duties. He currently resides at his Sandringham estate in the east of England.

Charles expressed his gratitude on Instagram on Saturday for all the messages of support. “As anyone who has dealt with cancer knows, such kind thoughts are the greatest comfort and encouragement.”
