Lando Norris Downplays Championship Pressure despite taking Title Lead
SAO PAULO – lando Norris is maintaining a remarkably composed demeanor despite seizing the lead in the Formula 1 World Championship standings with just four races remaining. Following his victory at the Mexican Grand Prix, Norris now holds a single-point advantage over McLaren teammate Oscar piastri – a position he hadn’t occupied since April.

This represents a stunning reversal of fortune for Norris, who trailed Piastri by 34 points after a disappointing retirement at the dutch Grand Prix in August. Since than, he has consistently outperformed his teammate at every race.
However, Norris insists his approach won’t change now that the championship is within reach. “I think when you get reminded about it [you think about it], for me it’s not something I think of at all,” he explained.”But when I get reminded about it, just because of my friends or people you bump into, talk about it and bring it up… it’s still a core thought, just thinking about fighting for a world championship in Formula 1. Just being in a position to do that and for me to be in that position is still part of my dream.”
