This symbolic act serves to honour the memory of all those who were persecuted and murdered during this tragic period in history, marking the anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp.
Official Recognition in Nevada
Sence 2025, this date has been officially recognized in the state of Nevada through Nevada senate Bill 96.During an event held at the sign, Councilman Michael Naft emphasized that the purpose of this commemoration is to keep the lessons of history alive to combat hatred and antisemitism within the community.
