Leif GW Persson, 79, returns to SVT and reunites with Camilla Kvartoft, 56, in a new program.

Leif GW Persson previously did “Crime of the Week” between 2010 and 2018 in SVT, also included Camilla Quartoft as presenter.

Focus on criminal policy
“Crime of the Week” had an audience of millions every week and received the Kristallen television award. Kvartoft says that society has changed since the program was broadcast.
– If you think about what has happened since we stopped broadcasting together six years ago, the crime has really become cruder and bigger. Organized crime affects us all, the whole society. Leif is knowledgeable when it comes to those issues and has experience, says Kvartoft to TT.
The new program “The Week” is also a social program with a focus on crime and criminal policy.
– Maybe a little wider than what we did before, but the viewers will definitely recognize themselves, says Kvartoft.

Would spend time with his grandchildren
When GW left TV4 at the end of March, he said he would write a book and spend time with his grandchildren – but now he is going back to SVT.
Kvartoft tells TT that she is not the one who lured him back to the channel:
– No, we have had contact over the years, during this time. But this turned out to be funny news for me too. It became clear quite late.
Leif GW Persson says to SVT:
– It wasn’t that I finished fourth because I didn’t like it. The reason was that I have to find time to finish writing a book and this won’t start until the fall.
