CAIRO – Relations between Israel and Arab countries have long been a complex and dynamic topic in global politics.

Although conflict and tension often dominate the narrative, there are also a number of Arab countries that have established diplomatic relations with Israel.

The history of these relationships varies from country to country, with some choosing to pursue formal and open relations, while others prefer a more discreet approach.

Several Arab countries have signed peace agreements with Israel, while others have established trade and security ties.

The following is a list of Arab countries that have established varying degrees of relations with Israel.

1. Egypt

In 1979, Egyptian President Anwar Sadat signed a peace agreement with Israel that had been negotiated during the Camp David Summit with United States (US) President Jimmy Carter the previous year.

According to the agreement, Israel will cede the Sinai Peninsula to Egypt in exchange for Egypt’s full recognition of the state of Israel and the establishment of full diplomatic relations.
